     Yes, BetterMe Psychology offers both online and in-person therapy sessions to provide flexibility for our young clients and their families.
    Our teen therapy sessions typically last 50-60 minutes. We may adjust the session length based on your teen’s individual needs.
     BetterMe Psychology is located in Calgary, AB, Canada. The clinic operates from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 7 PM, and on Saturdays from 9 AM to 1 PM.

    It’s perfectly normal for teens to feel some initial hesitation about therapy. Our therapists are trained to build trust and create a welcoming environment. We can discuss any concerns you or your teen may have during a consultation.
    Youth therapy can be beneficial for a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, behavioural challenges, social difficulties, and the impact of life changes or trauma. If you’ve noticed changes in your teen’s mood, behaviour, or school performance, therapy may be helpful.
    We recognize that parents and family play a crucial role in a teen’s well-being. The level of parental involvement is tailored to each teen’s needs and may include regular check-ins, occasional family sessions, or guidance for parents.
    Yes, we take confidentiality in youth therapy very seriously. Therapists adhere to ethical guidelines and confidentiality laws. Information is only released with a client’s permission, except in specific circumstances mandated by law, like imminent risk of harm.
    We offer direct billing for several major providers, including Alberta Blue Cross, Green Shield, and more. Please contact us or your insurance provider to confirm if your plan covers youth therapy at BetterMe Psychology.
    We understand that not everyone has insurance coverage. You may be able to claim therapy sessions as a tax-deductible health expense. Additionally, we offer a limited number of appointments at a sliding scale fee.
    Our fees are designed to be accessible and are slightly lower than the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) fee guide. An invoice will be provided after each session.
    We accept all major credit cards, debit, and e-transfers. Payment is due at the time of your teen’s session.
    To avoid fees, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
